Where Is All The Foreign Investment Going?
Foreign-owned residential property in the UK is now valued at roughly £91 billion.
Much of this property is purchased by non-residents who recognize the long-term potential of the UK property market and the financing alternatives available.
London clearly leads the list, accounting for over half of all foreign-owned property. This equates to around 85,000 dwellings.
Outside of London, foreign investors possess around £1.4 billion in property in Liverpool, Manchester and Salford have a combined figure of £2.2 billion.
