The House Price Divide Between North And South
The South-East region and the East Midlands are two of my key investment locations…
Both have strong investment potential, but for different reasons.
>> BUT, as you might imagine, property prices and growth rates vary widely across the UK.
For example, in the previous ten years, house values in Margate have more than DOUBLED. The current average price is £294,209.
During this time, the UK average was a little over 50%.
However, property in Middlesbrough is only 6% more expensive than it was a decade ago.
Yes, average house prices in the North East are lower, at £132,792, but recent house price growth has occurred against a backdrop of low growth. Between 2012 and 2016, prices decreased by 2%.
That is why I am now drawn to the South-East and the East Midlands. If you make the right choices, you’ll be able to combine high monthly cash flow with a more convincing price appreciation…
