During the pandemic, a sizable number of landlords lsold up, which led to a shortage of rental homes in several areas of the country.
It is now evident that many property investors are doing well as the UK economy returns to “normality” thanks to a rebound in rental demand and a sharp increase in rental income.
Generally speaking, towns and cities are doing well once again as the exodus to the country reverses.
Some Q2 winners and losers in terms of rental demand include:
📍 West Yorkshire — experienced the largest quarterly rise of 10% in the most recent quarter.
📍 Greater Manchester — saw a 6% increase.
📍 Cornwall — saw an 11% decline
AND
📍 Dorset — 62% of properties that were listed in Q2 have a let agreed.
